Ümit Balkanlı and her associate Deniz Yılmaz first began their producing carriers at Aksiyon Production. They continued this dynamic collaboration at First Unit Production, established in the year 2000 by executive producer Ümit Balkanlı.
During the years, First Unit has continuously worked with top advertising agencies; Medina Turgul DDB, Lowe Worldwide, TBWA\ İstanbul, Manajans / JWT, Publicis Yorum, Pars / McCann - Erickson, Grey Worldwide, Link / McCann - Erickson, Güzel Sanatlar / Saatchi & Saatchi, and Markom Leo Burnett being only a few on the list, a list which is growing day by day. The company has produced many commercials for local and international clients including; Unilever, Volkswagen, Miller, Whirlpool, J&B and J.Walker.
Fist Unit, throughout its brief but busy life, has produced many high-quality commercials; working with the best foreign or local directors and photographers in the business. Also, the company expanded internationally by building strong business bonds all around the world, opening up a broad range of new location opportunities. This once again enables the company to give unlimited services to its clients by providing a variety of locations and convenient conditions for post production.
